Time to bite the bullet....tried my first fibreglass layup for the front canopy fairing on the aircraft.

It seems to have worked out well for a first attempt at this and lots of sanding to be done still to get the front surface nice and smooth. Good idea to wear long sleeves when working with fibreglass...still itching today! :oops:

Anyone with any advice on how to reduce the amount of sanding required after the piece has cured would be much appreciated!

A quick cell phone pic of some progress. Stick grip installed and working on the centre console to receive the throttle quadrant. In the same process trying to strengthen the arm rest in the centre as you cannot use it to help get in and out of the aircraft without it turning into a crumpled mess.

Too scared of these trike things! Trying at the minute to requalify my PPL.....six ground exams down two to go.
