Re: Pioneer dualstar
Yup I saw they were a bit eager looking but we'll meet again somewhere.
Well around lunchtime this afternoon the 618 purred into life and it sounds good. Small idle problem but runs fine when the rpm comes up. Will sort the idle monday or so. We did't let it run long as we don't have rpm or temps yet.
Have planned the new panel on cardboard and test fitted the instruments - just an airspeed and slip ball in steam and then the enigma. Planning on buying MGL's V10 radio - has built in intercom and you can select frequencies from the enigma - so have made a cutout for that so long as well. It looks ok on the bench - will test fit tomorrow before cutting it in metal. Once that is all fitted and connected she is basically ready except for some last finishing checks by Andy as AP and becuase he is also the test pilot think he also wants to make sure everything is ok. So i suspect in about a weekend or 2 she will be ready. Also need to go get proving ATF from CAA.

Re: Pioneer dualstar
Right - Radio is in - aerial connected - Enigma is chatting to and controlling the radio. Engine wiring to sensors done - flight sensor package wired - just needs to be mounted. We are 95% there. Need to get Proving ATF and final AP inspection and then that is it. Time she is getting closer.
Sorry - no new pictures - forgot camera at home last night. Must say - it was FRIGGEN COLD in that hangar at 23:00 last night.

Re: Pioneer dualstar
O genade - ek kyk nie eens na post nommers nie
Anyway - burned the candle both sides again last night. Electric fuel pump is in - fuel flow sender done - flight instrument sensors mounted. All that is left is to push the plastic tube over the pitot pipe (quite a mission as it is right in the front of the nose cowling (might have to take the front wheel out to get to it) and to connect the 3 wires for the fuel flow sender to the RDAC. Oh yes - double sticky tape the gps aerial and that is it. I'll take some pictures in the daylight on saturday - need to do that anyway for proving ATF.
