The Koala windscreen is basically a flat piece of polycarb cut to shape. It bends when "wrapped" around the frame and screwed in place. Do not know how yours work. Better give them a call or chat to Vladimir when you are at Springs.

Good Luck!!

Aerosan

Was out of town for a month so I only started this week again.
Finished the doors last night. Will fit them on Friday and make the final adjustments to the hand brake set-up.

Need to do the test between the P-Prop and Powerfin next. Will post the results.

Did a testflight with the "new" prop. Much better performance.
Some pics of the old vs the new.

Soos KFA gese het. Die geel tips is die P-Prop. Ander een is nie die Powerfin nie, maar die Ritz wat op was. Powerfin is `n 4 blade composite.

Hoe het die composite vir jou gewerk?

What has the bigger prop done to your static RPM and EGT settings? Is the Prop at a higher, same, or lower pitch than the old one?

Morph,

It is a completely different setup. Used to be a 66x40 (the small one in the picture) with a 2.62 gear ratio. Static RPM was around 6300. She ran hot.

Now it is a 72x50 with a 3.47 gear ratio. Static RPM is 6500. Much cooler but I must add that I also changed the jets.

1 or 2 seater? And how is the warp drive working for you?

Hi Paul

2 seater.
Warp drive is good. With a 582 blue top, e type gearbox. Cruise 60 to 65 mph @ 5300 rpm. I chose the warp drive since its composite nature is less maintenance, vibration etc
I have also kept it as a taildrager, maybe convert it to a tricycle undrecarriage later on. But for the mean time Im content to limit my flying to calm conditions and grass runways only. ($$) ($$)

Took WRH home to start the covering process.

Found some loose joints and one broken support. Will take all the skin off over the next couple of days to have a good look

She is currently one UGLY bird without her skin!! (**) (**) (**)
