Been to "town" and back. Strange how suddenly, when the frame has been powder coated, you feel very near to completing the aerie. It does look rather nice in it`s new "dogshit grey" coat? Mmmmm, and just for interest sake, your aerie was visited by this very nice looking kid...... :D We are having fun with this build. Will update regularly.

Me out of the loop at the moment, but appreciated the sms from an unknown source to look at the thread. Forker has put the bulk of the money into this project so far & Boet is like a child with a new toy.

I am proud to be part of this association.

This is going to be one mooi aerie, even more mooi than the stukkend mooi young lady that Boet has posted a photo of.

Whoever it was who sent me the pm, please send me your name, I have a new phone & have lost many of my contacts.

Today we finished putting in the controll systems. William started covering the tail feathers. The fus is also now close to ready for covering. We need 2 800X6 aircraft tyres for this project. As the radial wil be swinging a 84" prop, we can do with a bit of aditional ground clearance. Anyone have 2 tyres and tubes of said size for a "donation price"? :D

The last couple of days saw the Explorer werks VERY busy. Luggage box is in, with all it`s loose parts fitted. All the control systems in and checked. All the tailfeathers are covered, and rib-stiched, and ready for doping. Today saw me doing my thing with my sofness`s sewing machine, and by chila time the fuselage top part was covered. The missing bits of the Rotec was not delivered on Saterday as promised. . Every day we try to finish as many of the loose parts as possible. Eventually the whole project will just come together like a big jig-saw puzzle. :D

Hi Boet,

seems to me that you need to take your finger away from that scratch hole and stop making excuses and leave the sexy young visitor chick alone and get on with the build...you bragged on FAWGie's vixen build site that you take 2 weeks from strip to flying.....maybe you really meant 2 weeks from stripping to F______ (Can't say it here...)

All right, having now rattled your chain....a serious note:

the rotec pictures look absolutely stunning. How do you plan to make the engine cowls? or is there already cowls available for the kitfox that you can modify?

Time you visited us here in slummies so that we can hear your BS first hand... come on now, do the test flight to slummies and back...(I'm sure RV will be living near here by then - in about a year's time  )

Hey, Captain, it is I who is keeping his finger in his xxxxx, if Boet had it his way, it would be doing test flights by now, but Rvforker is funding the project at the moment whilst I play catch up due to present circumstances.

If I had my way, be asured this aerie would be flying in no time flat. :D However, I have been asked to take it slooowwwlyyyy. Very difficult. So we started completing anothe BB alongside "The Animal". Fun. What we finish on the one, we finish on the other one too. Yes, so you can send the Vixen down, we can have that up and flying too......shortly. Today we covered the fus sides of the Animal. Really starting to look like an aerie now. I have a set of cowls for the radial engine. No warries mate. `Ave a nice weekend :D :!:

Pic is of the Animal by chila time this afternoon.
