So it flew. I was alone at the airfield. NO cameraman, no nutthin. Hands off and very smooth. Lekker glad en sag in die hand. I have not done any serious testing on this flight, just to feel it out. With the VG`s, no stall break. Landing speed is waaay down low. I`m very happy. Thanks to the following people that in no small way helped me realise my own dream:

Rick and Stefan /Kitplanes for Africa
Aviation Engines/ Comet Aviation Supplies
Serge van Hee, Amptronic.
Hennie Roets for the wiring of the radio
my 2 helpers Esteban and Koos
My dear wife for her assistance and patience!

Fly safe

Thanks Boet, your plane is a fine example of a 582 powered Explorer.
Please post some accurate performance figures when you have the data.
Your plane will perform even better if you can get rid of that old stomp neus BB cowling, it blanks off a large part of the working face of the prop, we learned that when we put the yellow Jabi Explorer together.
Fly safe and enjoy (^^)

So this morning I decided to spoil this father with a nice Father`s day gift: Go FLY. And fly I did, to my heart`s content. (A HUGE fringe benefit of living in the sticks) Softness manned (womanned??) the camera. She is not a good fhotgrapher. Thank God for a good fhotoshop program.

Ons het nou wel nie n teerbaan nie, maar die gras groei so mooi dat ons sonder filters vlieg - baie beter performance!!
