You are so lucky to have Hans now. When his project arrives, you wont even be able to talk to him.
Looking good so far. You must be itching to get into the air again.
Vernon. (^^)
He has already roped me in to helping him! (^^)

Looking forward to it (^^)

I'm spending the whole day at ML with the old bugger tomorrow....hoping we can make some good progress. "Itching" doesnt even come close Vernon!

Hey Alan! No, sorry, I had to get back to my lodge as I had guests arriving! My "other" job!

Hopefully we'll get to meet up in the near future. What about a "ZU-DBP rebirth" party?? (^^) (^^)

I had such fun in my attempts to support our team of aviators! It felt like being one of those ground crew you would see in the WWII movies scurrying around trying to get the fly-boys in their Spitfires airborne!!

Well, having missed the final stages of the rebuild on Fri/Sat due to FASK and other things, I finally got a chance to see the Princess this week and take her for a spin... vhpy

Small issues we need to sort out (like the Mag switches were put in "upside down"), took me forever to get her started

Geez it is wierd racing down the runway without the wing! It feels like we have a turbo charged Rotax in the back! Man.... she just jumps off the line without the drag/weight of the wing! The undercarriage feels very "unstable" once you approach speed and I had to back off a bit   Now we are just waiting for money to become avalable for the Comm system and the wing rebuild.... Why does the world have to run on money boys??? Why cant it just run on goodwill or something?  Patience Daniel son....Patience ^ (!!)

DBP is one step away from completion...she is yearning for the sky. I am amazed that just two months ago to the day we were staring at defeat. A crumpled heap of dacron and aluminium. A dream seemed shattered.... the future uncetain. I fired her up this morning, the engine jumped into life at the first crank. Purring effortlessly, this trike really wants to fly. What a great feeling..... the many ...manhours and effort put into this rebuild are fading into distant memory. Insignificant it seems when I look at what weve achieved in such a short space of time.I must take my hat off to my partner in crime Stefan Oosthuizen, who has really "stepped it up a notch". We are nearly there my friend....the last piece of the puzzle being manufactured as we speak. As aviators, we are helpless in our quest for flight. It is not a hobby, or a sport, it is trully an incurable disease..... once you have tasted flight, you are never the same again. Wont be long now... vhpy

I couldn't agree more, Bundy!

You’re on the home stretch now but maybe while you’re waiting for a wing and I’m waiting for a licence we can dice down 03 to pass the time.
I look forward to joining you in the circuit soon, if my Cobra can keep up with this slick rebuild (!!)
