Well, a good few hours spent and good progress made. All parts delivered were 100% correct, well done Denise and the gang at Solowings
Learnt a hell of a lot today. Started with the boom and frame and worked our way forward from there.
Getting the seatframe bracket and the engine frame perfectly lined up and spaced along the boom is critical as Hans explained to me. If the seatframe bracket is mounted too far forward or aft of the correct position, it changes the angle of the motor to the airflow in flight. A stuff up at this early stage will result in a complete strip down later on, so it pays to spend a lot of time and effort getting it right now.
We really struggled a bit to get the wheels on, the new axles were prob a 1/4 mm too big in diameter but we got it right in the end....
Hard day's graft, but the reward was great, all the major structural work is now complete on the undercarriage. 6 weeks ago, I thought I'd never see this plane in the air again....seeing her upright and "rolling" is a great feeling. Cant wait to get stuck into the rest.

A big thank you to Hans at Microland, without his experience and knowledge we could never have attempted this

.... Long way to go, but I feel like we jumped over the first big hurdle today.
