Congrats on your first solo Juan! There is only one first time
!
Regarding the windows. Firstly its generally a good idea not to leave right angle corners in your cutouts in aluminium. Rather leave a radius on each corner to prevent stress concentrations in the corners creating cracks in the Aluminium over time. The easiest is actually to make the short side of the rectangle of the cutout circular so the shape is that of an athletics track. This also looks much better than a rectangular cutout
Secondly I think it KFA was referring to putting windows in the roof (I.e. In line with the centre of the wing's chord. It should be above and slightly in front of your head so that you can look through that section and see the runway when turning from base onto final approach.
Go have a look at OupaG's build thread of the Safari nothing on that plane has happened by chance! You can learn a lot from him!
Also speak to Boet he builds BB's in his sleep!
Good luck with the build you are making good progress

Re: Bushbaby Explorer 153
Thanks for the advise. I have 20 diameter holes drilled before starting the cut outs on the windows. So at least I got a radius on each corner. The windows in the roof if will have to make later as I'm leaving for America again tomorrow. See you all soon.

Started covering. Rudder and elevator done. Flapperon's pre-fitted and turtle deck cut outs done. Wings also ready for covering.

Re: Bushbaby Explorer 153
the rudder and elevators are the hardest to cover 'cos of the tight corners, the rest is easier....except maybe the dreaded fuselage to fin corner.

So volgende is die fuselage. Het ook drawing van die panel klaar, wag net vir die GPS om final laser cut te laat doen. So ek vorder so stadig maar seker. Jammer geen fotos nie, dis almal op my foon en het kabel vergeet.
