Update 24/02/2011 - finished building the elevator, installed the trim tab and servo and stripped for deburring and priming. Almost cut my finger off while deburring one of the ribs - damn sheet aluminium is sharp!

Got the trim tab to line up and have started all the "ing" items - stripping, deburring, scouring, sanding, filing, priming and riveting. :mrgreen: No building this weekend, going to the Pilansberg to sit back and relax. (^^) - Coyote - see you there at 3:00pm.

So now the metal parts are the same length, but none of your fingers are?! :wink:

Enjoy the weekend, although you KNOW you'll be thinking of the build the whole time!! :wink:

Your work looks good, I wish the first one was a kit build for me too. It would have helped to see all the parts first. I look forward to seeing your progress. martin

Updated my builders log this morning - to date I have worked 56.5 hours and I estimate I am 8% complete. (^^) (^^) (^^) Should have the elevator finished by Wednesday.

Another quick update - elevator skeleton assembled and riveted, skins prepared for priming. I should be able to complete the painting and final assembly tonight (if nothing goes wrong).

Installed the trim servo - that is the best soldering I have ever done. No way those wires are ever coming loose :mrgreen:
