Hi Steve

Many thanks for the flight in your project a short while ago, much better than the Bushies!!!
Compliments on the new airfield project, things are looking great! Hopefullyt this will unite the EL flying fraternity!

Finaly had word from the factory in George that the Waiex will be ready, motor in and running, with cowlings, instrume4nts etc, by Friday.

So, giving them an extra two days, will fetch on Monday, and start fitting wings, fairings and canopy, and should be ready to fly with a month!!!!!!!!!!

Making progress with CAA as well, with regards build numbers, and hopefully all will come together!!!

Will post more info when available!

Eish Larry,

This sounds like a very busy successfull company running into overload problems, accepting more than they can do.

I hope you get her soon.

Kind regards,

Gunter Rostek.

Ok, so once again, you all thought we had stopped???

No, just been busy. Sometimes its tough to find the time, when you have visitors, dinners and other interuptions, but the main thing is to keep plugging away!!!

Have started the canopy installation, and will be working hard for the next while. Hpoing to have that done by the end of weekend. Controls are now basically all in, so we can finish the seat installation. Wings have been delivered to the hanger, waiting! Some fairings, spats, etc must still go on. Keep thinking of, or finding more little things that need to be done!

June will be tough, away for about 16 days, so target for test flight will be end June / Early July.

Got our build numbers for all the Sonex aircraft - about 6 I think, and now working on prooving flight Autho. Got a positive email from CAA yesterday, and the guys at Sonex should be talking directly to CAA, proving details of static load testing, design criteria etc, so still hoping to get that all together before the need arises for unexplained lift on the runway.

When my wife expected our first son, we went for that 8 month check-up. Doctor's words were: "Congratulations, you are now halfway !". I freaked out, but he was right ! That last month felt as long as the first 8 months !

Hang in, it is looking beautifull !

Not being popular for my patience virtue, I can only appreciate and commend what you've achieved !
