=D* =D* =D*
Got to say,
my dealings with RAASA have been nothing but PROFESSIONAL.
I live in Margate and its not always easy to get things sorted, especially dealing with Government Depts.
Raasa has been very efficient in getting my ATF sorted in no time, copy emailed to me for my records and
I have just submitted my Licence renewal for NPL with test flight. Warm, friendly and most efficient.
I have nothing but cheers for Whilem and his team of ladies.
Keep it up, its a far cry from what we used to deal with.
Thanks for all you do.

See my post in this thread on 3 July 2009. I paid R100 for overnight postage, it was posted snail mail, and when I called it a scam I was told
As I have already stated in my previous letter to you.
If you had called me and given me the opportunity to see why there was a delay in your mail, then I would have dealt with the problem.
I can assure you that there is no scam as you put it and no intention to make any profits.
I have also stated that your REFUND will be processed and we will take up the issue with Postnet as to why this delay was caused and not sent as an overnight delivery, I am sure that there was a simple administration error.

So, one year later and apparently nothing had changed.

I paid for overnight courier and ...

RAASA did my ATF and like a previous posting, they pointed me toward the restaurant and half an hour later I received my documents, duly done and dusted.

I don't enjoy negativity in any way or form or that this forum is used to vent other frustrations ($$) ($$) ......Great reply from Pierre which sets the record straight.Lets not become like AV**M (that other forum)and create a "lets moan about something AH! I'll pick on RAASA" ## to satisfy my life frustrations.

YEAH! RAASA (^^) You've made our day. Keep up the good work (^^) (^^)

mcfly (? your name), perhaps you did not follow the argument -

Pierre's "great reply" which I quoted and which impresses you so much, was LAST year when I complained about them sending mail "normal mail" when I paid for overnight.

So what happens this year? I pay for overnight, and yet again they send it "normal mail".

Pathetic.

Maybe it was a great reply last year, this year I have not had the courtesy of a reply. The only response I got when I complained to them directly was (an email) "Stuur asseblief vir my jou fisiese adres." which could mean anything, including that the heavies are being dispatched.

Let there be no questions about it, RAASA is just a privatized government department, and if service is atrocious, I have every right to moan. If they do not reply to my email, I moan here, maybe they spend their time reading the forum.

(And seems it worked, since now all of a sudden it will be couriered to me, but I don't hold my breath).

me? life frustrations? you kidding me?

MISASA has established a "protocol" so as to encourage service excellence.

Where members report service issues to the MISASA Committee:
- If the matter is the defined service responsibility of an individual that is not satisfactorily resolved then MISASA will lodge the matter for consideration by RAASA in reviewing the performance of the individual concerned.
- It would be appreciated if we were to not only receive "growls" but also "grins."
- Where problems are process related MISASA will raise these matters at the MISASA or Aero Club meetings
