Depends on the radio?

If it is a Filser radio contact Peter How at composite technologies.

Some of these fancy noise cancelling headsets picks up the signal from the aerial. You will end up with a whistle or interference or unreadable.

He suggested that you use what has been proven

ELA – ATR 500 with pilot headsets
Mt03- ATR500 with peltor headsets
Magni – ATR500/600 certain david Clarke models

If you find one that works, please post the details on this site. I have tried a few with different aerials, but could not get any to work properly.

We had a serious problem with noise interference with our standard Pilot headsets on the Ela gyro. Bought the DNC/ANR(ACTIVE NOISE REDUCTION) mouth pieces, from Composite technologies, for the Pilot headsets, fitted it to the standard headsets and problem solved. I can't believe that they don't fit these as standard on all open cocpit headsets.
