The closest to FASH is Louis van Wyk at Fisantekraal (021 975 3891) (http://www.aerosport.co.za/) trains in a Magni (or your own machine) and has a very good safety record.

Your fixed-wing hours don't count and you have to do 25 hours of training plus all the exams. Radio licence remains valid. Most people go solo after 10 to 15 hours depending on prior experience, then your instructor signs you out around the cabbage patch for the remainder, a check ride with another instructor @ around 25hours and you're good to go!

Welcome to the club, I look forward to meeting you and flying with you in Paradise!
