The way it is positioned, I can see a big "dust collector", confusing with what comes out of the tank.

not really - when I use it I squirt a bit of fuel in first - swirl - toss it - then squirt some more fuel and then check for contamination.

It is great to see the level of detail that this project has attained. It should be welcomed for the benefit of the greater GA community and specifically the gyro pilots and AP's. At the end of of the day if someone can learn from this then the objective has been achieved. Well done to this team of dedicated people who chose to share their journey with all. puff

I enjoy your posts. You remind me of an incident where I was returning a bicycle I bought for my son. I asked if they cant rather offer me a better quality high end thing that won't break and the owner shook his beard counting out the refund notes "Please mister, I will never carry the stock you desire, try everyone else I don't want your business"

Hi,

Looking good.

Just be careful with the venting holes on the side. From basic physics warm air rises so naturally the higher the vent the better. That's probably why the factory vent is at the highest point of the panel enclosure. We find with the instruments we design that some forced induction and careful internal air flow design is necessary if the vents are not in the optimal positions.

Good luck (^^) Off for a Friday beer as well.

Hi Greg. Thought. Can you not put a few holes in the top lip of the MGL 'hole'? This would allow air escape and prevent hot spots above the air vent level.
Also why not invert the fuel tester and have a spring mechanism much the same as bars with the hard tack holders. No pooling of fuel left after testing and no dust either. Just thinking.

PS thanks again for the lesson.
