 about the grease  I do have it, I just never considered Copper slip as a grease and proof that if we all pool info with no agenda we all benefit so Gyropilot thank you for this =D* =D*
my bad - shouldn't not have called it grease - compound is the correct term.

Taking very nice shape, the quality of the workmanship is plain for all to see. I do hope that all gyro owners will heed to this thread and really give these guys a call. Use their expertise and knowledge to ensure that we as pilots all learn from this exercise. All AP's should engage Greg and his team and raise the bar on the overall maintenance and well being of these machines. It is not a cheap exercise but then how much is cheap when it comes to improving safety. One can appreciate the role NTCA aircraft has in GA but at the same time the gap between TCA and NTCA is arguably very wide in terms of technicalities and certainly in terms of general maintenance programs. If there are people like Greg and John that can narrow this gap then they should be engaged to do so. It can only benefit the industry. Keep the comparative photos going and the progress reports. All the best Trolly

Gregster, I have to post something in this remarkable thread of yours boet (and yes, you can certainly take ownership of this thread as it's all yours!).

When I met you several many moons ago you had this thing about bloody helicopters and as much as I dislike those woer-woers I found your passion for the craft extremely admirable. Now I have to say the same, your passion for gyro's in tantamount to palpable! I have no doubt that there are many gyro pilots out there now because of you and your passion, and there are definitely many more to come (with a bit of luck me included).

Now combine that passion with your technical brain (yes, I know that the technical school only goes to std 2 and they quit sums in sub-b, but nevertheless I digress) and you have somehow (fark knows how) set yourself up as a goto guy for gyros in not only the flying space but the maintenance and even developmental space. It's seriously refreshing to see someone take this amount of detailed care about a job they're doing, and your bank account shows that this is not just a one time exercise in anal retentive attention to perfection and detail.

My point is this, not only have I gotten to know you as a MILF watching (yes, I'll see you in the morning at the office in the V&A), woer-woer and gyro flying, ford/tata (ok ok Aston Martin) driving, Ducati riding frikken DUDE, I now realise that all this time there's a genius hiding away behind that stainless steel Rolex Daytona and I consider myself honored to be called your mate! (i'm purposefully leaving your other vehicles and the 50 cal out of this list)

I got completely lost about 5 posts into this thread, but I kept reading cause I wanted to understand, and you helped me do that (thank goodness that golden gun is not golden any more... Bond, James Bond would have come looking for you at some point).

I'm rather hooked here now and can't wait to fly your Xenon again with you when it's done, all new and improved! BRAVO!! (^^) (^^)

Further to the discussions it needs to be added that Louis van Wyk, Aerosport, is very much a party to this wealth of knowledge "team" that is undertaking this project of magnitude proportions. Talk to these guys on gyro training and maintenance and we will all be the wiser and safer in flight. Trolly

Thanks Mak I love the alacantra panel =D* thank you for showing this awesome machine! (^^)

I fear that after we are complete with RDY we may just want one, it is a discussion I have had with the man math and as you know man maths has no logic

How much is it ? And does it come with a 914 :?: Interesting they still have the primary controls on the left? They must have a reason for this, wish I knew more about it and the issue of the head offset ?
Still very little known about this bad boy
