Gyrocopter record attempt

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but I've been flying for about 3-4 years now. Just before I started, I read an article in the SA Flyer (??) about a record of some sort for most gyro's on a fly-inn being smashed in SA at Gariep dam if I remember correctly. It was something like 66 gyro's...

That happened before I started flying gyro's... Ever since I read the article I really wanted to be part of something like that.

This year I'm attending my first Kalahari Bundu Bash in the Northern Cape and it would be really great if we, as a gyro community, can try and achieve a bigger number of gyro's attending. I just LOVE TO FLY!

Let's be part of- and make something awesome happen! Who's with me??

Ps: Here's the link to the website to sign up and all our fixed wing and trike buddies are more then welcome too! vhpy http://kalaharibundubash.co.za

Hi,

Just for info, a new forum for Gyro's has been started on the AVCOM site. There is some info and photos from the "record" numbers at Gariep.

Thanks Paul, :)

Really hoping myself and all gyro pilots can experience it this year at the Bundu Bash.

Nope, actually they just had not arrived yet... I'm pretty sure it was the Calidus x 6 that arrived last and were not in time for the group pic.
