15 People attended a Technical AP Training Course at RAFSA in Upington and I would like to applaud RAFSA's effort and dedication, this was a informative and successful Course and worth the effort.
I would highlight the aim of the Course:
a. Gave detailed Design background on RAFSA Gyro.
b. Gave Technical detail on all aspects of RAFSA Gyro.
c. Discussed Hardware Manufacturing Methods.
d. RAFSA Gyroplane Flight and Maintenance Manual.
e. Maintenance Schedules on RAFSA Gyro.
f. Gyroplane Assembly and Maintenance of Sub-Assemblies.
g. Gyroplane Fiberglass Components and Rotor blades.
h. Gyroplane EJ 2.5 Subaru Engine Component Tear-Down, Installation and Maintenance.
We got the opportunity to experience first hand practical knowledge on all the above.
The most amazing for me was the manufacturing of the sample COMPOSITE ROTOR BLADE.
All the critical inspections for a annual inspection were thoroughly covered with emphasis on the non negotiable service schedules and components.
We all received a BAG full of Literature and instruments, even the most valuable technical AC 43 HANDBOOK....

On Day Five, everyone was SEEERIOUUUUS, because it was EXAM TIME....!!!
You only got the following if you conformed:
Attendance Certificate
Completion Certificate
and from RAFSA a Certificate of Appreciation and Contribution as the first TECHNICAL RAF 200 GYROPLANE SERVICE and MAINTENANCE COURSE attendees.
I trust that this TECHNICAL COURSE will grow, setting a standard for all the AP's working on RAFSA Gyroplanes.
WELL DONE RAFSA...
