Now what is happening about the Gariep get together? I hear barks and knorre everywhere but no bites. Is 23 to 25 May still on? Is Marius running with this one? It would be great if we can do that thing again. Was great last time. vhpy

In light of the above I am satisfied that the Calidus is faster and more fuel efficient as a result of its reduced drag - but not as markedly so when comparing these two, as I did.

Flynote, did I mention that the Calidus is fast?

I took a 1,7 hour flight one-up last weekend.

Still learning the ideal manifold/RPM settings (Like to hear your comments)

I filled her up just before take off and again to the same mark after the flight and used 25 liters.

I think this is great economy.

I really feel so guilty that I am letting my buddy Lennie the klop- klop man down by keeping him in the dark. I am not very good at expressing myself clearly in words hence the confusion re the speed of the Calidus. Lennie I must confess that I totally underplayed the info regarding the speed of the Calidus. If I mentioned in passing that the Calidus is , by the way, reasonably fast when compared to other gyros, I appologise profusely. I was incorrect in the assumption. Hy is f$@#n vinnig!! ##

My Calidus had its 25 hour service on Monday and was returned to me with beautiful matching leather armrests and embroided carpets with leather trim.
