First customer receives new Rotortec Clouddancer 2.
The first Rotortec Clouddancer 2 has been delivered to the RheinAhrCampus Remagen (university for applied studies).
It will be used to carry cameras, radar devices etc. developed together with the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR for ground scanning (agriculture) and surveillance.

Due to several mortal accidents (Cavalon and Trixi) that occurred in the last year, German authorities have tighten regulations for testing and certifications significantly.
That caused the delay for the long expected delivery.

Unlike the standard Gyrocopters available on the market (Rotax 912,standard aluminum blades (8H12 NACA)etc.) the clouddancer has a 2 Cylinder 4 stroke 135 hp turbo engine (weber) and carbon blades (Helicopter profile) developed by Rotortec.
It will be also available as a 4 blade rotor option soon.
The gearbox, free-wheel and adjustable propeller steering mechanism /regulation are also developed and made in house.
