Pieter, please have a look at the African Pilot for the advertising done. "Specialist" we are flying out a Specialist from Canada to talk about flight safety etc the Saturday evening. Pasella is considering sending a team to cover the event. The SAGPA committee confirmed in writing to me that the North meet South will be held together with the Bundu, and that they would like to sponser something, I have follow up with them and no reponse. MISASA has contacted us and all of our info has been sent through to them, waiting on reply. MISASA is also the only one that have out of their own sponsered the KBB the last 10 years, what a pleasure to work with them. RAASA is also considering sponsorship. Unfortunatelly I cannot wait until two weeks before the event for them to confirm what they will be sponsering which is the current case. People, prospective clients pushed us for a price, so we had no choice but the work out the price without sponsers. That is also the reason why we are not taking any money at this stage and will confirm the final price when we have all the sponser in and the entries.

The Bundu this year will be 17th one we have organised and all you have mentioned above regarding marketing and sponserships we have done we have even offered each supplier we have contacted to come down and have a booth to promote and sell their stuff, at no charge. See below the letter that went out in January to everyone!

I would really appreciate it if you could assist us in taking over the sponsership for us, (there is no sarcasm to this) as the entries are keeping me very busy at the moment. Send me your email address then we can correspond, as I really think we need more people like you on board to help us push this event. Herewith the list of sponsers we have contacted: Once I have your email, I will email you all their details.

True;

Thank you for promoting recreational flying, but this year I will have to skip as my budget does not allow for it, hopefully next time!" And we wished us all the best. :lol:

Also thank you for pointing out my calculation error. You are correct, as per my mis-matched calculations it is R1375.00 per person per night. Forgive my tardiness.
The fact remains that, (thanks to google), a fully catered four-night river-rafting adventure, similar to what you are offering,costs less than half: http://www.orangeriverrafting.com/wet-a ... adventures :
So,(2350/3=783) R783.00 per person per night as opposed to R1 3750.00 per person per night. Less than half. Correct me please if I am wrong?

Oh, almost forgot, divide the cost of the clothes by 4 and take it off your cost per night then it comes to about half.

Pieter and Baltbird and Dave have covered it well.

I am all for finding Sponsorship! Makes it easier for us to justify going. Usually sponsorships will only be granted in direct supply of goods or services or if you reveal your margins (which you must make of course) they usually have the right to audit and Voila, done. It becomes the 'ROTAX/TOYOTA KBB'. Vat sommer altwee se geld! :-)

I wish the KBB well and know it will be a huge success again.
