Western Cape Adventures

Postby OzGyro » Sun Jul 17, 2011 5:22 pm

Hi All

Ok just to silence all you conspiracy theorists, please find attached photo's which my or may not prove that I can actually fly

On Saturday July 9th I was extremely fortunate to be offered the flight of a lifetime time. Myself, together with 3 of the Capes finest pilots (Len, Dave and Mark) I got to fly the Magni M24 over some of the Capes most beautiful coastline. Fully escorted and guided I had the best flight of my life, and over a week later I am still smiling. A huge thanks has to go to Len Klopper, your generosity is beyond anything I could ever believe, you are a true friend an inspiration and I will be forever grateful.

Cheers
Darren (^^)

One static (ground-based) visual of you behind the stick of an M24, a few gyros in the distance and hearsay evidence from some rather dubious characters

I must say Darren, you are going to a lot of trouble to convince us Gautengers that you Do fly.

We are going to see it at the Gyro Fun Nav Rally at Kitty Hawk on 13 Aug.......aren't we? ##

Haha us Capies will vouch for him and his very capable flying. Just give OzGyro a beautiful mountain and coastline to follow and he's up and away. In fact we could hardly get the bugger down when we got back to Morningstar. There were concerns he might even abscond back to the big smoke with Len's pride and joy...

Uh-oh, that comment is going to cost you dearly Glen! Just you wait.
Sorry Jabanaught, my mistake and I apologise.

It was an absolute pleasure flying with you Darren. Even though you have relatively low hours as PIC with pax, your flying is exemplary. You land that M24 as if you have been flying it for years!

As for letting you fly my M24, don't forget who revealed exceptional generosity first by lending me your own M16 when you had hardly even flown it yourself - and I put 14 hours on it in one weekend!

You're welcome in the Cape anytime (and bring your softness again too)
