Stuck pre-rotator bendix

Postby THI » Wed Feb 23, 2011 4:17 pm

My pre-rotator benix is stuck?

Any idea how to get it un-stuck? Without a BIG hammer? ## ##

Need to fix it before next weekend

Thanks!

If you can't fix it with a hammer....... It's an electrical fault.

BUT most electrical faults can be fixed with a hammer as well. **

Jaco jy is n grapkas!

THI, have you tried spook piepie, more commonly known as Q20?
It should solve the problem unless there is excesive wear on the bendix.
If you fail.... get up and try again. That is the only way to succeed!

Werk nou weer soos nuut. !!!!

Relatief eenvoudige werk - hou net kop hoe kom alles inmekaar.

Thanks for all the feedback. It seems that the problem was a dry bendix and ring gear(?).

That sorted...now to the next problem :(

Hulle kom so in 3s Thinus. These things spin and bump on runways and vibrate . Every now and then something goes but for everything there is a fix ... it just never is permanent while your gyro is still spinning and bumping and vibrating
a Stuck bendix is a comon thing. Most of us have had it. Especially if you operate from a ground/dirt runway or in dusty conditions. Dust and ghries= grinding paste or glue.
Sien jou in Gariep ! (^^)
