Gyros on Kwela Kyknet tonight at 20h00

VERY Short notice ...I am sorry. Please let everyone in the fraternity and all who do sportflying know that the North South meet is on KWELA tonight at 20h00 KWELA is on KYKNet. Send e-mails and phone around and see if we can push up KykNet's viewership by all who fly gyros,Microlights,lapêries,pypêries,glass êries and what have you ... then they will support us again for the next one !!
Enjoy the insert. I'm sure they made the event look as great as it was.

Johan, van ons kant af ook baie, baie dankie vir jou ondersteuning en invloed. Ek kan nie glo van waar orals af ek sms's kry om te sê iemand het die Kwela ding gesien nie.....en die meeste van hulle sê die Kriek lyk darrem MOOI ook.... hierdie TV mense weet darrem wat om te doen.....mooi meisie in een skoot, sien hom vlieg in volgende....wat gaan dan nie mooi lyk nie....
Ek het al klaar 3 navrae vir Gyro opleiding en algemene inligting gekry....hierdie storie kan net positief vir gyros wees. Baie dankie

Maandag 6 Desember om 8:30.

Paul Roux is the main peanut in the packet who organised everything !! He deserves all the credit for the event!
Grease your teeter bolts for Gariep early April 2011. We WILL have a minimum of 75 gyroplanes attending because the North will come down in force and we all know the South...nou ja these boytjies never need a second invatation !!
Can somebody get Grumpy trained and into a gyro so he can join the exodus to Gariep in April? We need more of his brilliance behind the guitar and mike at the Gariep do!
The now world famous Wagtail National rotorblade team have now also got their act together and will be there with a GPS , spare tubes, spare radiators, spare waterless fuel, spare prerotator belts , spare bendix, spare doors etc etc so no need for any of the other 70 odd gyros to carry any spares. Wagtail will have it all !! And maybe ... just maybe ... the Kriek will be accompanied by the Springkaan and then there will be no end to the conversations around the dam the entire weekend!
In the words of the legendary spot landing champion Len Klopper ... Viva Gyros. Len , ignore Grumpy. I still beat your efforts to to a runway inspection on landing at FASH.

I have said it before and I will say it again... The exposure generated for our sport through this event is incredible.
Flynote is a true ambassador for our sport and I for one truly appreciate his efforts.

To every single one of you that flew in, assisted with the arrangements, or simply made the effort to be there; Thank you very very much.

I too have received many calls congratulating us and also some confirmed new students.

As for the dreaded landing...
The totally ignorant don't even realise it was a bad landing, the slightly informed think it was me executing a bad landing, the well informed know it was an Airline Captains' very first circuit and landing with me sitting in the instructors seat. So, a damn good landing considering it was his first! I did many intro flights and even two formal conversions onto the M24.

I will see to it that Grumpy gets in a gyro again soon - will try to arrange someone to film his first landing for us!
At the very least he will move from 'slightly informed' to 'well informed' w.r.t. Gyro flying - if he flies gyro's as well as he plays and sings he will be an ace!

Looking forward to Gariep already!
