What I think happened at FASH !!!!

Postby Jabbanaught » Wed Nov 24, 2010 8:15 pm

Well after the weekend that we just had , and reflecting on the days i think thats very important is the following .

Faces where linked to the Avatar / Names on the forum , this has had the effect that we will in future be more considerate to each other and maybe just maybe actually become good friends .

Manufacturers / agents where standing and chatting to each other , and i did not hear during the weekend , mine is better than yours , we all spoke "rotorblade " aviation.

The broader public "esp in Stellenbosch " now understand our sport better , and because of the proffesional manner in which each pilot conducted himself , we are seen as equal .

IN general i think that from here on we will just cement our friendships , and understand each other , and by doing that we WILL GROW this lovely sport , and make sure that we learn from each other .

Will something like this happen again , FORSURE , just bigger and better and planned longer beforehand , To me its not about records , but more for us to meet and understand each other, afterall we are a gyro family .

And who know i might just start with the organising again ## ## ## ## ## xxx

Firstly i want to congratulate the Stellenbosch Flying Club for staging this event.A lot of planning and logistical effort went into this and it turned out to be a great succes. You can be proud of this achievement.Secondly i want to thank Paul and Len for providing support throughout, organising hangers, accomodation for the visitors etc.I would also like to apologise for our not so very social behavior. Our group had quite a handfull of technical problems but i will write about it on the forum with Photos. Also a big thank you to John Zulch and his wife for providing us with with accomodation and even lending us a car.
I speak for our group when i say that this was an experience that we will never forget. We also learned a lot and when the next trip comes around we will manage it even better. The moraal was high and never did any one of our group misbehave.A fantastic group of people. And then the most important thing for me was meeting all these wonderfull people. We got support and help in every place we stopped and Ollie in Prieska told his staff to stop whatever they were busy with to help us.He even got a security company to guard our planes
time was limited and i regret not meeting each and all of you,but at least now i can connect some faces to names.
WELL DONE TO THE ORGANISERS.
