Life Insurance for Gyro Pilots

Postby Vanessa » Thu Nov 18, 2010 9:54 am

I've been speaking to quite a few gyro pilots whose life insurance premiums are loaded because they participate in a hazardous pursuit. If you need life insurance without a loading, you can contact me on 072 767 6041.

My apologies if I'm being abrupt here......

Even if she is not, she is interested in our wellbeing  - and there are some serious issues regarding gyros and life insurance, therefore in this case it is relevant to the forum. Correct me if I am wrong.

P.S. There is a whole thread about this issue. It is like someone asking for best insurance on a gyro and I reccommend XYZ, my brother's company...or whatever. Just a thought.

Whatever beats your drum....

But here's a thought for Vanessa - contact the Chairman of SAGPA - gyrosa.... lay down a plan of action and present something for all? Just a thought....

So seeing that we are advertising now - I've added my business card  Lets see how many people appreciate that?

Business card deleted intentionally!

Nice to have met you in person on Saturday.

You have a good point since there is a specific section for advertising on Microlighters.

I recommend we move all these post to that section in the interest of being fare.

Vanessa will be at the annual Gyro Fly-inn at Kitty Hawk on 4 Decemeber and invited all to come and have a chat to understand what she does different.

Likewise Condor..... Maybe those that have met me see that I mean no harm - actually am very for the system! :)

There is a specific section to advertise and if it for commercial purposes - contribute financially to Microlighters.co.za A very good example is Eagle Aviation!

I joined microlighters in 2007 and for the 1st time posted my business card to prove a point (now deleted though!) I have never punted what I do here and wont start either. I know of a situation where another avid forum supporter tried to assist a newcomer with a specific need (no, not insurance) and was told in no uncertain terms if he was trying to punt the company he works for? So, in all fairness I think this should apply here too!

So I think my suggestion is a better avenue to investigate and am sure Vanessa will be received with open arms...

Hey I resemble that remark

Yeah I naively tried to assist someone and got klapped for it. No more however, those in the know, know what I do and will refer the ones needing assistance. I spend enough time assisting my regular clients and honestly do not need the once off requests that I get but I will do it to help a fellow aviator.

Take our Comrade "Eagle" he actively promotes his business however he also contributes by paying for his advertising as he is representing a commercial interest.

Cheers,

Hi All

Point taken - apologies to those who feel that insurance for pilots should not be discussed on this forum, I fully understand that this site should be a forum where like-minded people interested in aviation-related topics can share their thoughts. However, I often come across pilots who complain about the loadings they receive from insurance companies, my posting was simply an attempt to inform you guys that there are alternatives out there, and that not all insurance companies see your avocation as a high risk. Use it, or don't use it, but please don't take offense - and enjoy your flying! I certainly had a good time seeing the gyro's up close yesterday at Kitty Hawk, and might even one day attempt getting in one!

Don't stress Vanessa... many people just "use" the forum for their own gain and don't put anything back! And no, I never said that we should not discuss assurance or insurance here. You may be surprised that there are a few brokers on this forum. The important thing is that you have entered dialogue with the chaps, rubbed shoulders and have taken an interest in the the sport and fun.

To be a 1 poster and then never seen again is so un-cool ;-)

Why not place an add in the MISASA mag "Microflight Africa" to promote your business formally?
