Hi All
For anyone who ever questions the the commaradory of fellow aviators I would like to share the following brief story.
I had emailed JetRanger (Len Klopper) a few times and some of them even before I had left Australia, Len said if ever made it to the Cape be sure to look him up. Well as it turns on the weekend just past I had the opportunity to take a short trip to Cape Town. I let Len know that I had booked a flight down and before I could say anything else he had already offered to help me out with accomadation as well as transport. All this from a guy whom I had only conversed with over the internet. I arrived in Cape Town early Saturday only to have Len pick me up personally and take me straight out to one of the local airfields. I caught up wth a few of the local Gyro pilots and had a chance to look at a local machine for sale, Len then insited we go for a fly and I again had the opportunity to benefit from his generosity and wealth of knowledge. At the end of the day I was then given a lift back to town and dropped at the doorstep of my motel, what more could I have asked for? I am pretty sure all those who know Len well, are not at all surprised.
Again Len thank you so much for your generosity and for taking time out of your weekend to to help me out, I just hope that in some way in the future I can repay the favour.
Cheers
Darren
