Can't imagine anything worse than having it ready to fly and being grounded on technicalities... hoe sal ek dit ooit kan hou?

Nou raak ek vir die eerste keer opgewonde hieroor!

Llewellyn, how have you managed??

Stunning layout Lion! Have you got 2 radio's and a transponder?
I don't see the Flydat or is the panel next to the airspeed an upgraded version of it? I was told if I don't keep the flydat my Rotax guarantee is invalidated. Is this true?

Is that the Garmin EFIS? I am quite keen on the latest hi-res MGL. Any comments from the guru's?
On the right, are those MAP, Fuel Flow and compass?
below them, (whatdat??) fuel pressure and fuel guage?

I gotta start working this out so any advice from the experienced would be appreciated!

Len I would Still go with the MGL Enigma or Voyager (if it can fit ) , Run that together wit the Flydat system.

If you use the MGL system , then also use the V10 radio that they have thatway you can TX on one freq and monitor the other and it ties nicely into the EFIS .

Nice thing on the EFIS system is that you can set parameters , and then get a clear warning if you over , not just a small red light flashing like on the flydat .

If you want to windgat you can have dual systems and then use ons for moving map /gps .(That would look awesome ) u can then use the middle of the panel for analog as backup .

Hi Len,

Yes two Becker radios and Becker mode C transponder. All remote units - just the heads in the panel and remote 'bodies' under the rh seat in front. Storage area under rh seat still usable. All RH controls, pedals and throttle removed by Magni.

Wiring and installation professionally done by Clifton Electronics at FAGM.

I replaced the Flydat with the Dynon D10 EMS - one can download all engine history info if one wants to.

I see Butch sent you an email re Rotax guarantee iro Flydat (no issue on guarantee).

Garmin is 695 installed for older eyes!

I believe the MGL is also great.

On right of panel is Intercom (specially for noisy cockpits), RPM (on Dynon as well), Davtron (timer, Oat, Zulu and local time), compass, Man press (on Dynon as well), fuel press(on Dynon as well), fuel level, 12 V acc power and right hand door open warning red light.

Cheers,

Lion.

Thanks Lion, I understand.

Very nice settup. Talk about belts and braces! (^^)
I am a steam-guage person myself but am warming to the idea of an EFIS with a second screen.

Yes, I have clarity on the Flydat from Butch (no issue on guarantee), so I am happy as far as that is concerned.

I like Paul's recommendation of the V10 radio that can monitor 2 frequencies which means 1 less radio required to clutter the panel. Anyone here have any experience of them so far?

Rgds
