Hi Magnificent
I don't know why you did't post this earlier. It makes the whole debate about gyroscopic precession much clearer. In fact one can see quite clearly why the effect of a control input to the rotor only has an effect after 90 degrees.

Not to destroy the pic, but my guess is that it is taken with a cellphone camera, and my guess there is a nokia.
Do I get the cookie??

Had the same with an image a took while flying. Seems that I have a couple of blades!

PHOTO was placed to proof The GYROSCOPIC effect as discussed on topic of GYROSCOPIC EFFECT picking up the advancing Blade.
(Only joking)
Len, you figured it out, the shadow was created against a slope and rocks standing out.
