Please spare a thought for our friend Anthony Cohen that was seriously injured in a propeller accident while working on a Gyro on Friday.
Reports are that he is still in ICU.

Good wishes. A gentleman and credit to the aviation industry. Gave me an unconditional demo flip and would have bought it if I could fit in it.

Anthony is doing OK. Was discharged from ICU today and is now in a surgical ward. He has some damage to a vertebra, a broken foot, and obviously tissue damage. You can leave messages on his phone/SMS. Will be out of action for a while, but I do believe that this is one of those miracles!!!!
Get well soon, Anthony.
Still the pilot that has the best landings I have ever seen.

Had a visit yesterday with Anthony. He is well, just frustrated that he has to still rest. Worried about everyone relying on him for maintenance etc. Also very concerned that this will be a lesson to everyone to always be vigilant. Not thinking about himself at all! Let us do that for him and keep him in our prayers.

Anthony is having problems with his Gyrotalk access and asked me to place the following:
=====================================
Hi to all my fellow aviators!
It was very special to receive all the e-mails, phone calls and personal visits.
To all of you I say a very special THANK YOU. Your kindness makes me feel very humble and will help me on my road to a full recovery.
I would like offer some advise to you all:
1) Never attempt to start your gyro unless you are seated IN the gyro.
2) Turning the propeller by hand is also not good practice. Even if the ignitions are off, there is always the possibility of a loose connection in the wiring harness which would render the ignition live. (Nowhere does Rotax recommend the turning of the propeller prior to starting)
Kind regards
Anthony Cohen
