2 prerotators broke 1 was on my aircraft that was flown by my dad and an instructor and the second a MT-03 see the video.

They had to get to their destination and hand started the rotors with a gyro in front for additional airflow.

Gyro's are such fantastic machines for this type of adventure.

Very nice video T-bird, looks like an awesome trip and one that we would like to do one day.

I think hand turning the rotor and then managing the rotor speed and gyro speed for take off should be part of training, for emergencies like that and I believe would result in a lot less blade flap incidents.
