Herewith the confirmation of our conversation,telephonically this afternoon.The above is the ref no of the block booking for your group.

I have opened up a group booking, for every person to book for him/herself a chalet individually.The chalets that I kept are:

*20 x 2 bedroomed chalet (1 DB + 3SB) = R 820.00 p. chalet

*12 x 3 bedroomed chalet (1 DB + 5 SB) = R 960.00 p.chalet.

*6 x 1 bedroomed chalet ( 1 DB only) = R 820.00 p. chalet.

A dinner at the Restaurant is R 95.00 per person (drinks excld)

N.B: Should there be no people doing the booking towards the end of this Month ( February) I will be forced to cancel the block of all the above chalets.

Some Good news
After asking Pearl to negotiate better tariff the following mail was received .

Paul

The General Manager has agreed to give you the discount on all the chalets that you will book. It is now less 20%for each chalet booked:

R 960. 00 becomes R 768.00
R 820.00 becomes R 656.00
the food stays the same, since the R 95 was the discounted rate already.

N.B: You have not yet booked your chalet.

Just an Idea , I am going to send my family to Gariep with a vehicle , Why dont we try and get the families also involved , Seeing that the resort caters for so many activities , just think about the BROWNY points you going to score .

If I try and suggest to my "family" to go by vehicle I might not make it to Gariep.

Paul, just make sure they are aware of the number of people they need to transport. The airfield is a 30 minute round trip for a mini-bus and to transport 80 people can take 3 hours. Perhaps you should negotiate landing right at the resort or on the dam for those with floats

Hey guys I have booked my chalet for Vic Venter and myself. Julle moet julle gatte roer!!!!! Do not wait for the last minute on this one. You are going to end up sleepin outside and that part of the country "word lekker koud daai tyd van die jaar"!! The prices are excellent ; R 656.00 for a 2 room chalet

N.B: If you have not yet booked your chalet for the GREATEST GRYO FLYINN EVER you are going to be very very spyt . WE all arrive, have a few of whatever, sing along to Grumpy's golden oldies, have a lekka meal with some more of 'daai goed in die blik en bottel' and then sleep warmly and comfortably in our chalets while you crawl into your sleeping bag under your rotor or maybe in the hangar if you are lucky
Phone and speak to the lady . She is very helpful. Paulus, where do we stand with confirmed guys at this stage. Could you update the list again. Guys , send your detail and confirmation to Paul. He has given the detail of what he requires from you.
You go guys Do this thing !! IT will be a weekend to remember for the rest of your gyro flying days. We proved in Stellenbosch that it can be done. Now for the BIG ONE. All the Gauties and higher up with the feeble excuses of too far to FASH and let's rather meet halfway ... here it then especially for you GOOI MANNE
