So can we fly in with anything else or is this just a Gyro event?

Aaag thanks Lennie! Who knows - ZU-CXO may be on her home trip that weekend (That is of the Cessna 177 Cardinal deal falls flat!) If the deal goes on as planned, then I'll come in the blik with the whole family!

Visited Gariep airfield this afternoon. Nice. Lots of tar! They've had rain for the last 4 days so the gliders haven't been in the air much. Mostly Germans that come to SA for the "flying season". Dedication!
Marius and I looked at the hangars - 2 available, could probably house 36 gyros. We met with Martin and will phone him when WE HAVE SETTLED ON A DATE (?!!!!?) to arrange for hangarage. Very friendly. Some of you might have met him before. The other 24(?) gyros will have to be strapped down outside. Just worried how we will get from the airfield to our beds and back. Not walking distance from town.
Had supper at a cosy little restaurant just in town. Lots of atmosphere.
This is going to be a nice fly in! Pics attached.

The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
