Hi Magnifan,
Yep, you hit the nail on the head. It could have cost plenty, you were trained right, you knew what to do yet a simple mistake could have ended in a disaster. Well done for hanging on to it and staying in there. I have seen the result of something similar with an instructor who was not so lucky. But we all need to learn.
