Hi Paul
Martin vd vliegveld het 'n paar opgetel maar ongelukkig daar gelos. Earl, ons fotograaf bring dit vir my saam. As dit nie die regte paar is nie, dan soek ons verder. Dankie vir die aanbod om te help soek.
Selfs jou "after sales service" is goed. Jy weet natuurlik dat jy hierna automaties op die reelingskommitee vir vlge jaar is!

Wow 73! Who would have guessed watching him replace a prerotator belt with competent ease.
His interest and enthusiasm are contagious.
Not only the oldest person but arguably the nicest person too! =D*

Dit wat groot cahoonas om te doen wat jy gedoen het. Om in 'n gyro te spring en so ver te vlieg sonder enige support of a wingman - voor Malcolm jou gejoin het ^*^^

This weekend to me was not only a flight to Gariep, or a gathering of like minded people. 8) It was an adventure not to be forgotten, a learning experience money cannot buy and an revelation of my own capabilities that I truly didn't believe I had. vhpy I seriously had a lump in my throat that I couldn't swallow when I landed on Gariep. They say a photo speaks a thousand words, but what I'm gonna post can't even summarise the experience.

We decided to do a two day trip down to Gariep, routing Kitty Hawk-Frankfort-Bethlehem-Ficksburg-Ladybrand for overnight and Friday to Wepener-Gariep.

Herewith the beginning of our story:

Mak, me, Tinkerbell, old no7 and our support vehicle co-driver - now Xenon co-pilot - left Kitty Hawk early Thursday morning to meet up with Bonzai Bell and Centugyro over Springs towards Frankfort, where we will catch up with my wife in the support vehicle - hopefully

Old no 7 didn't have a passenger, although looks like it. We thought he was emigrating telling no one. Everything, excluding the kitchen sink, including two cans of fuel, was in the back of that M22, giving new meaning to the name Magni Voyager.

Somebody asked for the lyrics of the Gyro Song???? Well here goes' (^^) (^^)

GYRO AN ME - (Bob Mc Gee) Kris Kristofferson

Got a call on Microlighters, said join us to Gariep
gonna try to break a world record
Paul said he would organize and be the ‘go to’ man
but needed all the gyros to report
Months and months of to's and fro's, and many can’s and cant’s
decision made, the dams where it will be
With the promise of exciting times,
And Stemmets comments sounding fine
filled up, did the pre flights, just to leave

Ch……..Cos, Gyros are the only way, that I would like to fly
Nothin' ain't the same or can come close
Feeling safe and what a view
Experienced by such a few
Feeling good to share it with my friends
Wishing that this dream will never end.

From the runways dotted around the land, there’s a new trend in the air
It’s a funny little thing without a wing
Next to it you’ll find a man, who’s passionate and cares,
to share his love and to hear the rotor sing.
It won’t be long before he says, come take a flip with me
smiling at the pleasure on your face
Knowing that it wont be long, til you ask how can I belong
To this team of men who’s flight is not a race.

Ch…………..
La da da la la na na na
