It would seem you will have to be catfoot for some of these pilots, "chick talk and all you know" (real koelie language)
it sounds like they could be in their DIRTY THIRTY'S or NAUGHTY FOURTY'S. vhpy

I too have been looking for something cheaper. I have traced the Gyrobee for which you can get free detailed plans vhpy It can be powered by anything from 503 Rotax to smaller. But Material for building, 6061 Aluminum is the problem :cry: Can anyone help with this material. Hennie contact me 0837277943. Thanks Pierre

Hi guys
I have been involved years ago with the development of a single seater gyro with a friend of mine in the Karoo area 4500AMSL (Nelis vd Westhuisen). It worked BUT only in winter when it was cold and the air quite dense. It was equiped with a 503 Rotax, and used Bensen blades. You will need something like a 582 engine to really get you going on the Reef area winter and summer.
The total weight empty was about 200 pounds where the standard Bensen is around 240 pounds.
