That's whats worrying me about the Alldays trip. Two up to Alldays, one up back home. Will need a lift for the wifey, cause the Sycamore will battle with all that tjops and beer back to civilization, after a weekend met daai boere. (^^) ## (^^) (**) (^^) ## ##

The accuweather longterm weather forecast... Jhb, kroonstad, bloemfontein , gariep, beaufort west, cape town and MArgate.
ALL NO RAIN FOR 20/21/22 MAY.
Cloudy in CT on 20th.
Kroontad standing by with 5 refueling points and the ordered amount of fuel for each pilot from 8h30 onwards on Friday and same for Sunday from 11h30 onwards. They will be on standby untill the last gyro on their list has refueled.
Fuel at Bloem is supplied with a bowzer , 95 unleaded. First come first serve but there is more than enough fuel for all. Allow 3 minutes per gyro. As you land taxi to bowzer immediately, fill up and go pay in the clubhouse. Coffee , softdrinks, and samies, snacks available. Champes waiting at next stop.
Southern manne are sorted via the incredible organising skills of one Len Klopper.

The early morning mist in Cape Town is a little worrying at the moment...

HOWEVER... I drove to Worcester for a wedding today and it was amazing... entering the tunnel from Paarl, cloud base was 500' and viz was really poor; on the other side of the tunnel it was a perfectly sunny day - like two worlds apart. If necessary we will head north to Tulbach, sneak over the ridge at Voelvlei dam if possible and I am sure from there onwards it will be good weather. Holding thumbs and really looking forward to it.

If all else fails we will drive to Gariep maar mis gaan ons dit nie mis nie! (^^)

I truly hope this is useless info for the weekend, BUT, just in case.

Six of us are planning to leave Pretoria early Thursday morning for a sleepover at Ladybrand, and off to Gariep on Friday. Now for the - I hope - useless info part. We have a backup vehicle for fuel, braaibroodjies etc along the road. We decided to load the whole caboodle on a gyro trailer. If anyone somewhere maybe have a stuck Rotax, rotor, or something, maybe keep this in mind. My cell no 082 577 2593.

See ya in Gariep

Good thinking Low Level!

Greg Vos is standing by in Cape Town with my Gyro Trailer and a tow-vehicle in the (unlikely) event that we need to do any recovery from this side.

Well, we're refuelled full, gyro's cleaned, paper work in order, flight planning done, formations briefed, fuel logistics sorted, clothes packed & ready to leave at 12 tomorrow for Beaufort West then Gariep on Friday morning.

2 Gaggles of 5 each. Louis' group is going via Carnarvon.

SEE YOU ALL THERE!!
