Morning Gents

I know many of you have given Vanessa some stick about the advert and understand your point but I feel I should share my experience with you.

Being 26 I have had life insurance for a few short years (since I bought my 1st property) with a known bank. A month ago I let them know that I have completed my scuba course and have started training on a gyro. Within hours I received a letter stating that the financial institution does not cove my trike flying, gyro flying or scuba diving. My broker got quotes from other institutions where I will be covered but the premiums were loaded like you cannot believe. Being a little upset I remember this thread, do a search and phone Vanessa. Within minutes I had quotes that cover all my hobbies and it was even less than before I let my "bank" know I am flying and diving! I receive the exact same cover as previously just cheaper and I don't have to worry about my hobbies. I know you didn't like how Vanessa started her membership to this forum but I feel that good service should be rewarded. Well done Vanessa and thank you.

Guilty as charged and also apologised ... I am however pleased she sorted you out Splinter and others that have not posted. However I don't see V posting (only 3)
Don't stress Vanessa... many people just "use" the forum for their own gain and don't put anything back! And no, I never said that we should not discuss assurance or insurance here. You may be surprised that there are a few brokers on this forum.

Rob Mc Fie

is the one who sorted out my Life insurance and all that.
Give him a call 0 8 2 4 9 8 8 5 9 0
Just tell him Gavin "Tailspin" gave his number out.
He might not be too happy if he gets a flood of calls with nobody to pin it on.

Splinter, that your last comment scares me, seeing as I did your insurance! :) But no worries, at least you know you're covered...

Rob McFie is a colleague of mine, and will definitely also be able to help with insurance - but I'll have to charge him for this exposure!
