Good instructors always speak well about all flying machines.
Bad instructors speak badly about machines they cannot fly.

Re: Single Seaters
Hi All
Well my search for an affordable single seater still continues. I had an opportunity this week to see first hand the Magni M-18 fly here in JoBurg. As most of you would know the M-18 is powered by a Rotax 582. I was a little sceptical as to how it would perform and have to admit I was pleasantly suprised. Details of the flight are as follows.
Airfield - Baragwanath (Syferfontein)
Elevation - 5400Ft AMSL (so I am told)
Temp - 27 - 28c
Climb - >500fpm
Cruise Rpm - 6000
Pilot weight - 90kg approx
Machine weight - 167kg (Magni spec)
The M - 18 is a pretty tidy looking machine and built with typical Magni quality. I also believe that this gyro will be out and flying again on Sat Feb 6th, and weather permitting may make its way to KittyHawk. If anyone else happens to see it flying over the weekend I would really like to hear the feedback and impressions of others.
Cheers
