How much should training cost?

Postby coen » Tue Sep 30, 2008 9:09 pm

I want to get my gyro rating, but dont know much about the sport and are scared of being ripped off, so want to know +- what it should cost me to train on a school gyro.
All the options like 1. shool gyro with instructor, 2. once solo just school gyro, etc...

Thanks Coen.

Piet Kruger Springs (ELA,Magni,Mt-03) 083 268 1443.

Don’t try and get the cheapest rates. Try and get the best instructor.
You will be flying a gyro that could cost you up to R 800 k.

Ask the guys for their CV. I can highly recommend Piet , I don’t think that you will get an instructor with more experience than this guy.

Josua Groenewalt (Magni,Sycamore) 083 540 9468 - Very professional also highly recommended

In my opinion, and especially if you have little or no experience, you should first do a couple of hours on a school's Gyro. This will give you a good idea whether it's really what you want to do. Whatever you do, don't go spending a lot of money before you're sure - not only on the sport, but which Gyro in particular.
(Having said all that, once the bug bites, you'll be hooked!!)
