It all depends on your individual needs and of coarse your budget. There's a lot of options available....
For starters look at the tandem vs side by side threat. There's a lot of info there.
Your main choices would be enclosed or open cockpit.
Open cockpits are only in the tandem configuration.
For me personally the enclosed tandem callidus strikes a very good balance....

I like lots of Hp and a gyro with great maneuverability...
As for affordability the gyros are quite expensive with the situation of the Rand now?

I was just looking for some input from the forum on what there best option or ideal Gyro would be like...

Yes, prices are going through the roof with the Rand in a downward spiral...
There are some second hand options available though... You just need to search.

To me the ideal gyro would be a gyro or brand with a good track record with regards to safety and durability. With that you will get a good resale value, peace of mind etc.
In terms of performance I would say, the lighter your gyro, the better the performance would be. They all basically use the same power plant and Hp with small differences....

In the end its all a balancing act.
There are so many options available these days, its difficult to make a decision.
My advise would be to go get your license first, then go and fly different brands and types of gyros. That way you can decide for yourself what will suit yourself best.

I have done a bit of research on the aspects you have mentioned
in terms of price the RAF2000 is at a great price and the 2.5 Subaru kicks out 165 Hp, so there specs are quite good on that machine.
and the safety factor is good aswell!!

and they are a local product....

By coincidence, just about every unsolicited sales pitch starts with the proverbial "what would be your ideal xyz" type of question... Tell us Knighthawk, are you buying or selling?
Just kidding with you... As Yoda says, get your license and then try out the different gyro types to find which best suits your particular needs and circumstances.

but Im in the market and looking around between fixedwing and gyro but not a lot of advise came from the question I asked, so I'll go and try out the different types....

The difficulty in answering your question is that there is no one-size-fits-all "ideal gyro" - it depends very much on how comfortably, how far, how fast, where and what you wish to do with your gyro (and what your budget is) that is going to influence your purchasing decision...
Everyone believes that the gyro which they fly is the best one - and it is probably true - for them!
Indeed it signals a mature and considered response from those here that have suggested that you fly each of them first. It's easy to get into passionate "BMW versus Merc" debates trying to convince you into one or another direction.

Some of the decisions that may need to consider are:

Do you want:
Self-build kit or factory built?
Open or closed canopy configuration preference?
Tandem or side-by-side seating preference?
Engine make preference? (e.g. Rotax or Subaru ?)
Composite or Aluminium Rotors preference? (e.g. composite have no timex but are more expensive)
Chrome Moly / Stainless Steel or Carbon-fibre composite airframe?
Dual or single controls?
For training / cabbage patch flying / cross-country cruising or for working (spraying / game counting / patrolling etc.) ?

Why so? combination of above reasons, plus history of how long in the marketplace, price, agent support, popularity etc. etc.

thanks for your responce...
the reason i asked that spesific question, was to get as much advise as possible from the pilots that have the experience on Gyro's
and to see what makes each gyro great for there owner?

like what makes magni great for there owners as for
RAF's
autogyro
xenon
sycamore

it would be real nice to get feed back like that....
