Be that as it may, I have the following opinion on the matter and I am happy to listen to other points of view if I am mistaken.
1. I am proud to be a "bangat" pilot. I am a paid up member of Sir Jim Davies' Live Cowards Club. (Google it if you don't know about it). K Foster seems very opinionated for a first time poster - Chuck in disguise perhaps? Talk about coming out with all guns blazing

2. There is absolutely no animosity in the Western Cape between the pilots of their different types of machines. We have Magni's, Xenon's, Sycamores, RAFS, Ella's and MT's and we drive Toyota's, BMs, Merc's, SAAB's, Smart Cars (ja, I'm serious) etc without any hassles either. Isn't that the way it should be? I have also not experienced any animosity in the Free State, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga or Natal from other type owners so perhaps its a Northern Cape syndrome?
3. SAGPA is the official mouthpiece for members of the Gyro fraternity. Support them or vote the existing committee out and appoint new people to do what we as members require. It follows therefore that I am strongly opposed to any spliner groups or dilution aka 'afstigtings' not under the SAGPA banner. Great Idea Yolandi but if its not under the SAGPA banner I cannot support you. Sorry.
If you wish to elaborate on the Airmanship Excellence award that SAGPA already endorses, great idea. If not, I suspect another agenda - but I may be wrong - (as I was about how sharp the corner was on the KTM.

One thing I know without a doubt is that we fly the most awesome machines, that they are the best kept secret and few of us have been privileged to experience the Gyrocalypse. Spread the word!
Lets promote our sport in general, stop the bullshit and just go fly!
