Hi Morph
I am only suggesting that Microlighter's website should replace the SAGPA website.
I am definitively for SAGPA as an orginasation.
My reasons for microlighters are
More exposure - more hits than SAGPA.
A forum is easier to maintain than a website.
Cost should be less than a website
A forum is more up to date than a website
We only need subsections that users will only have read acess and is maintained by the relevant SAGPA members.

We have proved over and over again that Gyrotalk (or Microlighters) can not be the official communication channel to our members.
The commitee has accepted the task to communicate better with its members and this will be copied on Gyrotalk, published on the website and sent out by mail.
Please allow us time and should we not meet u with your expectation, please tell us in person, provided you make a better sugestion or join the committee to take care of the info distribution.

Hi Gerrit
Gyro talk never had a Sagpa section.
How was it proven over and over that it is not an effective way of communicating yo members

In enige besigheid, assosiasie, ens, ens, is jou naam baie belangrik.
Dan weet jy as jy info soek, jy dit by n Gyropilot kry!
Let wel, dis net my personlike opinie. Lekker week.

Re: SAGPA and Aero Club
Although many valid points have been made by the for's and against - this is my opinion :
Just as MISASA, SAPFA, SAMAA, EAA etc all need their own identity - so does SAGPA! I don't think that microlighters.co.za is the place where internal issues & policies & everything else be aired or publicised. This forum is for general shoulder rubbing, jokes, chirping and so on and so on!
Just as MISASA have been criticised for certain actions (or lack thereof) in the past and, that certain respectable gents have become so anti-establishment and self opinionated, they do not afford us as a new elected committee to make the difference and prove them wrong! I do urge members of SAGPA to give their new elected committee the chance to prove their worth. The chaps have an arduous task ahead of them iro MOP's & ARO's etc. and their experience is paramount for the success thereof.... I have previously mentioned that to persistently swim upstream can be rather tiring - for all!
Add value please....

Hi Pieter
It is for me about flying I don't have a problem with microlights and have met great people.
Have a look at the builders section. Oupa g has an Atpl flies Pc 12and build airplanes and is a surgeon by day. I also visit royaryforum, australian recreational flying, avcom etc. But nothing can beat the people on microlighters.
ASRA in australia is in a forum format also the different chapters on rotaryforum.

What do you mean by add value please?
