Hi All
Ok so I have made it to JoBurg and am keen to get a look at the local flying scene. Which airfield would be the best place to head this Sunday for a bit of a look around and to catch up with some fellow gyronaughts??
Cheers

I would suggest you try Springs airfield, but not sure if they are more active on Saturdays or Sundays. The weather for the weekend doesn't look too great though.

It use to be, but currently we are only three gyro's actively flying of which Low Level's gyro is out of action for the moment and myself and Tinkerbell mostly fly during the week. The training has moved to Kitty Hawk and a lot more gyros fly from there. If you are interested to visit, let me know and we can meet you for breakfast.

Re: Made It
The Gyro training at Kitty Hawk was stopped by CAA, something to do with Kitty Hawk not being registered as a Gyro training center and the instructor is registered as a instructor at another airfeild, or something like that. It will be nice to meet you, I have not been to Rhino yet. Maybe we must invite OZGYRO to meet us at Rhino.

Hi Ozgyro,
Welcome to SA.
Kitty Hawk are holding their "Day at the Airport" on 7 November where all owners/tenants open their doors and dust their toys off.
All are welcome to fly/drive in. Pop over and I will arrrange you a flip.

Welcome in South Africa and particular in our part of the world.
Training at Kitty Hawk is possible but under specific local regulations. Contact me should you be interested.

This is the highlight of the Gyro calendar, a fly-inn aimed at Gyros on 5 December. We had over 30 planes last year and this year promises to be even better.
But hope to see you before then.
