Hi MPL pilot

Ek het dit afgehaal omdat JETRANGER daaroor gekla het.

Ek het 'n great video van ons trip in Africa

Makgadipanne , Okavango, Vicfalls, Kariba, Zambesi, Cahora bassa, Paradise Island, Bazaruto.

Ek is die naweek in die Hartbeespoort dam omgewing.

Laat weet my en ek bring vir jou 'n copy saam.

Cheers

Hi Guys

I have posted 3 videos at the time a wing over , 360 degree turn and some low level flying.

Some people were offended by the video’s and I removed it.

All the flying were done within the law and the Gyro’s limits.

Cheers

It is your choice.
If they were truly offensive they would have been removed by the Administrator one of the moderators. If they are gyro related and meet the site guidelines viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33 you are free to post what ever you like.

Huh? I do not recall ever requesting removal of a video. Please refer me to my supposed request to remove the video?
I do recall making a comment about people flying low over Bronkhorstpruit dam and CAA now looking at increasing the registration lettering size as a result and getting an earful about that but certainly no video?

Lig my bietjie in t-bird? In fact, go one better and copy and paste the communication here so we can all see it. I am happy to copy and paste my side of the conversation. Names have been removed to protect the innocent.

Here goes...

Xxxxxx

Let me start by saying that I have no axe to grind with you, I don't know you, don't know of you and I have never met you. We share a passion for flying and Gyro's in general and that makes us part of a brotherhood. So actually, we are on the same side.

Xxxx is not my hero. When it comes to Gyro's, my hero died in an unfortunate gyro accident in 2006 as a result of incorrect fitment of a rotor head. So be it.

Two wrongs don't make a right. The fact that Xxxx may be in breach of the law does not entitle any one of us to do the same and place gyro's in a bad light. It takes just one or two incidents and the entire gyro fraternity will suffer and I therefore support his original point that we should be circumspect about where we fly low.

Hi Len

It was removed immediately after the Bronkhorstspruit issue of low flying.

Never bothered to put it back.

I would have never imagined that we would meet each other on an Island in the Okavango.

Sounded like you guys had a great trip.

Cheers

Ok, point taken, lets forget it. I repeat that I never suggested removal of the video so please re-post it for the sake of other enthusiasts.

Aah t-bird, you were one of the chaps in the gaggle of 8 at Selinda?
Yes, it was a big and pleasant surprise (until I noticed how unhappy you guys looked).
Makes sense now that some of you weren't happy to see this 'groot bek' from Cape Town there I suppose.
Be that as it may, yes, we had a fantastic trip as I am sure you did also.

Fly safe and be happy!

Len

PS, ITS FLYDAY AND I AM STILL IN THE OFFICE... I'm ZONE OUT - Bye
