Brand new gyroplane

Postby gyrofan » Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:49 am

Guys, I feel it is just fair to "break the news" (^^) (^^) Wagtail's Tracktor gyro has attended it's first Fly-in. The Fly-in held at Tedderfield last weekend was a sort of Historic occasion :
- First get together of the XENON' ( 3 attended )
- First Fly-in attended by the Kriek
Sh1t, I am not their Marketing manager, but I could see on all the guy's faces on Monday that they are at last HAPPY with the machine. For those who have not followed, Johan have battled on for years now sorting out vibrations, ground handing and who knows what else. When I saw him on Monday...that man was happy ( at last )
I had to beg and beg to at least be allowed to write this "announcement", Johan is a very modest guy who knows his stuff and as all designers goes, he still has soem plans to improve the inside layout and some angles on the frame...When I saw it flying on Monday the age old saying came to mind..."shoot the designer" and just give us the product man, that machine is extremely quite, it takes off in same distance as ELA's, it turns just as tight and....man I just want one.... :| :|

I am going to try to attach a few pics I managed to get...nearly cost me an arm and a leg of begging...

What a really practical looking machine.

Well done to all involved.

What engine is being used? What diameter Blades?

Any performance figures , What is the usefull load?

What is the next step , will it stay a one off, or are kits/fully build examples on the drawing board.

Too early to ask for a price?

Kind regards,

=D* =D* =D* =D* =D* =D*

I salute the designer/developer of this machine and hope it will bring more reasonably affordable gyro flying to within the reach of so many that would dearly love to but simply cannot afford the barrier to entry, being the high acquisition cost!

Mooi so manne!
