Congratulations to Thinus (THI) who went solo in an ELA with Johan Froneman at Saldanha.... The Cape is busy building a formidable gyro community!

Hey Tinus, any pics? Tell us your story...

Hey well done Thinus! That was very quick no?

I wish you many happy ours of flight and may your number of landings always equal your number of take-offs!

Best wishes!

Hi All,

Thanks for all the support. Much appreciated.

As usual I went for training. Luckily the weather played a long. Johann and I were doing a couple of circuits and he told me to land. So after I landed he climbed out. So I thought to myself, what was Johann up to….

So it hit me…. exercise 15!

Johann gave me the last speech on procedure and what to expect and I was off. It was a bit of mixed emotions…wow I’m flying alone (invincible) (!!) …wow I’m flying alone (this is not a pc game! You can die!)

What a feeling to be alone in the sky, watching the world below going by.

Can’t wait to fly again!

The pinnacle will be to fly around the Cape, meeting everybody, go for flying trips ect.

Pity the weather is not lekke today. :(

See you in the skies!

Thinus
