Check out the tracking part of online vfrPlanner software. No registration and tracks are viewed by all in real time! It will be great if flyers could test it and give some feedback and suggestions to improve the software

http://www.vfrplanner.org/app and follow the link to Tracking. At this stage the map auto tracking works fine in the new Google Chrome browser, still some issues with IE

I get the same error message when I try the cable route. Placed the file on the phone and when you run it it opens java and then comes up with the error message as above. :-(

The 1:1000 000 Aeronautical maps have been added to vfrplanner see http://www.vfrplanner.org/app/nav/vfrplan/index.htm ,click on "interactive map" and Aeronautical Map button - bottom right.

The maps have 3 zoom levels , by clicking on the airfields symbol the waypoint is added to the route log

vfrTracker is currently in a development phase - it is tested with the new Google Chrome Browser (in which case the auto update works fine - for missus to keep an eye on your progress from home) and S60 v3+ / Symbian OS phones (N95, 6110 Navigator, E71, etc) with an internal GPS or connection to an external BlueTooth GPS. Most S60 phones are made by Nokia.
