Postby Pilot Pete » Wed Aug 06, 2008 8:12 pm

Flying from Hermanus to Groblersdal next week. Would appreciate any info on the airfield at Lainsburg if anyone has been there lately. Thanks

Will do short leg Hermanus to Swellendam but would like to stop somewhere between there and Beaufort West. Any ideas.

Thanks for the advice. Ladismith seems like a good idea so will follow up. Good to have options when trying to get out of the Cape Mountains as nothing ever seems to go exactly to plan. Weather looking good for next week so hopefully will be on the way. Thanks again.

Ja. Been asked to take new Hawk with 85hp Jab engine to Grobelarsdal for owner. Rolls Royce of microlights with glass cockpit and all the extras. Managed to fit in a few hours the other day and she performs really well. Have to fly back on the Airlines which is normally the most worrying part of the trip.
