Airfields at the South coast

Postby nicow » Wed Jul 18, 2007 9:43 am

I plan to go to the Natal south coast during the December school holidays, and I see there is an airstrip at Scottburgh and one at Delta Golf.
Does anyone know if I can take my trike with and fly from there? Is there anybody to contact for hanger space.I booked a caravan stand at Caravan cove, just south of Scottburgh.

The one at Scotties is a PVT strip and the farmer is not keen on visitors. i tried VERY hard a coupl yearsback, but no luck... i may still have his details somewhere if you keen to give it a shot. Crop dusters and Tiger Moth operate from there...

Watched a trike, just beyond the waterline, stalking me from Hibberdene back to Durban 2 weeks ago.

Lucky bugger. Very envious.

Condolances, but maybe someone could relieve the affluent family of this gem? Nice spot.

Sorry to hear.

PS
Farm manager was biting, but after 3 months of trying I lost interest. We were staying literally 500m from the strip. Would have been awesome to fly up and down that coastline....

Nico. I am not sure if you are the same nico who has been to Port Edward before. If not. I know it is quite some distance but we have a 400 mtr grass strip here.
