Looks good! As Asterix said, a nice stop on the way to the coast!
Is the other runway at Piet Retief (S26 59 50.5 E30 50 24.6) still usable ?
Hope to pop in sometime!
Fly safe,
Rudi

Hi Rudi. Yes the main Piet Retief runway is still in use, but there is nothing there exept the runway.

Dawie - please give us the RWY numbers and joining procedure ?
Re: Piet Retief Microlighters
Sorry for taking so long, been very busy this side. Here is the airfield layout as requested. Normal unmanned joining procedures as the airfield is not manned and cattle might be on runway.
The runway that we uses the most is 13-31 300m due to the north westely wind in the morning and the south easter in the afternoon.
New runway lenthts as from 1.1.2012:
09 - 27 250m Shortest runway, but still working on it. Flat.
06 - 24 400m Still a little rough on 24 for first 100m. Sloping up slightly from 24
13 - 31 400m Good runway sloping up from 13 side.Still rough on the new part of 31.
00 - 18 400m Still little rough on the ends. Will be extending it to 500m. Sloping up from 18 to 00 (Its done. Runway 00 -18 is 500m 4.1.2012)
